Lindsay has over 12 years experience in the aquatics industry working as an instructor and has obtained her swimming credentials through the Life Saving Society and the Canadian Red Cross in Toronto. She is a certified Canadian Red Cross Swimming Instructor as well as a Canadian Red Cross Swimming Instructor Trainer, National Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Instructor.
Lindsay aquatics knowledge and her drive to educate led to the creation of LD Aquatics. Lindsay offers a premier swimming program in the Durham Region and Clarington area, offering best in class instructions, with the convenience of taking lessons from the comfort of your own back yard, providing the opportunity for children to become strong independent swimmers in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Lindsay strongly believes that taking an individual approach is the best way of instructing children and adults. At LD Aquatics, she has developed a unique aquatics program which establishes a genuine relationship between the swimmer and the water, along with a one-on-one approach with every child. She believes this helps to create a rewarding and positive learning environment for the students.

LESSONS
LD Aquatics has been offering all types of swimming, first aid and life savings lessons.
Participants develop problem solving and decision-making skills to perform basic aquatic rescues. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 100 metres.

Learn about lifesaving principles including tows and carries, defence methods and releases in preparation for rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 500 metre timed swim.
Prerequisite: minimum 13 years of age by exam date or bronze star
$350.00 plus cost of Canadian Lifesavings manual and CPR pocket mask. These items will be used throughout the rest of your training

This course is a continuation of bronze med. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 600 metre timed swim.
Prerequisite: Bronze med, emergency first aid with CPRB

In this course you will learn lifeguarding principles and good judgment. A mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguarding role is required. Training emphasizes prevention and effective rescue response in emergencies including first aid treatment.
Candidates develop treatment, leadership and communication skills. Fitness requirements include a timed swim, object recovery, 50 metre spring challenge, 50 metre rescue drill and 400 metre endurance challenge.
Prerequisite: 15 years of age by exam date, bronze cross, standard first aid with CPRC (must be current)
